Dior released this Elixir as a concentrated parfum, and perfumer Francois Demachy pushed the shared DNA away from airy freshness toward raw, spiced intensity. Nutmeg and cinnamon hit first, sharp and almost medicinal in their concentration, with cardamom close behind them. Grapefruit gives the spices a brief citrus frame and then steps aside. This is not a gentle opening, and it was never meant to be.

Lavender is the entire heart, and it is smarter than it first appears. It does not turn the composition barbershop. Instead it bridges, cooling the spice enough to make the parfum breathable without diluting any of its force. Cardamom and cinnamon fade slowly as the aromatic quality rises, so the middle phase reads hot and composed at once.

Licorice dominates the base and splits opinion. On skin where it behaves, it adds a sophisticated sweetness against the dark, smoky earthiness of Haitian vetiver; on skin where it goes sharp it can read medicinal, which makes a decant the sensible way in.
