The Scent

Rayhaan released Terra in 2025 as an oriental, resinous eau de parfum built around spice-market warmth rather than freshness. Cardamom arrives green and slightly medicinal, riding a peppery buzz from Sichuan pepper. Elemi adds a resinous, almost citric edge underneath, while bergamot with lemon keeps the top from getting heavy too early.

The heart thickens fast. Cumin and coriander bring a savory, culinary warmth, and anise slides in with a faint licorice sweetness. Saffron threads a leathery richness through the middle of it. Orange blossom and rose soften the shift without reading as a traditional bouquet, more like petals caught in incense smoke. Wormwood is the surprise, bitter and herbal, cutting enough sweetness to keep things from turning saccharine. Geranium rounds the heart with a faintly minty, rosy contrast, and patchouli surfaces near the end of the stage, damp and earthy, bridging the spices into the resins underneath.

Frankincense and opoponax take over as the heart fades, building a smoky core that feels lit rather than sprayed. Oud arrives without shouting, more earthy than medicinal, braiding into labdanum and benzoin for a base that reads amber-heavy and slow. Birch lends a faint smoky dryness against the sweetness building around it. Vanilla and maltol round the final stretch out with musk and ambergris, so the finish lands soft and warm after all that early spice.
